European mobile market growth analysis
As part of a strategic customer growth planning exercise, a global system vendor requested Northstream to contribute in the development of a set of value propositions (CxO pitches) to a multi-country mobile operator for a number of their local operating companies, as well as for the Group-level management.
Overall, the scope was to gather and research market data for a selection of countries, distil operational performance metrics, perform competitive comparisons, identify potential challenges and growth opportunities, and based on that, provide market insights that can be directly used to produce CxO pitches. The core of the assignment consisted of structuring and correlating the market and financial data in order to establish causes and effects in relation to the overall performance of the operator(s). The analysis mainly focused on the following aspects: macro-economic outlook, commercial positioning, financial performance, strategy, technology, operational profile and regulatory issues.
As a result, Northstream provided the client with concise conclusions on the challenges and opportunities that the operator faced in the various countries and on a group level, and recommended on how these should be addressed.
