Provision of strategic support to network modernisation vision
A middle-eastern mobile operator was planning to acquire spectrum and license to extend its services into the 3G and LTE space. As the client’s existing network was using 2G technology and thus the client being a greenfielder in the 3G/LTE arena, Northstream was engaged to support the preparation of the modernization activities. Northstream reviewed and provided strategic support on the client’s go-to-market strategy, market case-studies as well as license bid preparations and national roaming plans. Furthermore, Northstream’s primary role in this engagement was to drive the process of establishing an infrastructure supplier agreement. In this, Northstream guided and supported the client throughout the entire sourcing process of a full turn-key mobile network – from RFQ preparation to vendor selection and contract negotiation.
