Industry round-up and partnership recommendation

As an extension to a project evaluating the need to add Wi-Fi integration to their offering, a global network infrastructure vendor asked Northstream to perform an initial market scanning to identify and categorize potential Wi-Fi network (radio) equipment partners. The client was looking a partner that both possessed cutting edge technology and would be a good match for their culture.

Northstream expanded the market analysis by reviewing potential Wi-Fi network equipment partners / M&A targets. The project identified, categorized a long list of 25 technology partner candidates for the client. The report documents company KPIs such as technology innovation, revenues, reference customers, and product portfolio and identify strengths and weaknesses. Northstream recommended a short list of 3 partner and 6 M&A/partner candidates. The client chose to move ahead with both a partnership and an acquisition.
