Mobile Payments
Mobile Payments (M-Payments) introduce new opportunities, as well as threats, to mobile operators, financial institutions and new industry players. With the plethora of payment methods already in use, it is not clear what value will such services bring. And indeed, services launched so far have seen both successes and failures. However, large take-up of such services is still yet to come. For mass take-up of M-Payments to happen, a combination of key elements is required. This includes simplicity and usability of the services, market knowledge and understanding, and teaming up with the right partners.
