Development of connectivity and channel strategy for CE device vendor
Northstream assisted a CE device vendor’s strategy and business development unit in the feasibility assessment of business model for a new connected CE device. According to Strategy Analytics the installed base of connected CE devices reached 4.3 billion in 2010. Adding unlicensed or licensed radio (wireless) connectivity is not anymore a cost issue for most CE categories – it is more about overall product and services strategy of the device vendor.
Northstream analysed the connectivity and channel strategies for the concept. Verified by several stakeholder interviews and market research, Northstream provided a recommendation for the preferred connectivity solutions and optimal distribution channels for the product and also commented on the overall proposal and suggested a suitable timeline and target regions for the concept device.
