Jonas Bäckman

Jonas is a senior telecommunications consultant with more than fifteen years in the international telecommunications industry. His career spans over a range of practices involving both technical and business development positions. Over the years he has been involved and part of the planning of the development of the mobile industry, both in the mobile system side as well as on the professional services side with focus on planning and optimisation of mobile networks. Jonas joined Northstream in 2005. Prior to joining Northstream he has a background as strategic product manager at Ericsson, several years on international assignments and as a consultant working with network design and optimisation services for wireless networks. In Northstream Jonas is operational with focus on technical and commercial strategic issues and has specialized on system procurement through numerous projects during the last couple of years. He has been managing procurement projects in Asia Pacific, North America and Europe, for European and American system standards including 2G, 3G and 4G systems. He holds an MSc and MBA degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg Sweden.

Per Stenström

Per is a Senior Manager at Northstream. He has several years’ experience of market analysis, project management and strategy assessment of wireless and broadband companies. His recent projects at Northstream include performing a business case analysis as part of a due diligence of a fixed operator and assessing potential cost synergies between two telecom operators pre-merger. Per’s focus has over the last two years been to assess strategy revisions and helping operators to quantify their opportunities. Prior to joining Northstream, Per worked as a consultant for Kinnevik owned Shared Services on the post merger integration of two Telecom Operators. His areas included analysis of the technology organization as well as development of the Product Development process. Per holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping Institute of Technology. His personal strengths lie within having a structured and analytical mindset combined with a passion for meeting people and deadlines.
