As you probably know by now, Northstream is a business and technology strategy advisor for the telecom, internet and media industry with a focus on developing and implementing high-impact strategies and solutions that increase performance, competitiveness and profitability for our clients in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
To succeed in that mission, a Northstreamer shall have a strong overall industry understanding with an emphasis on business analysis and -planning, a solid comprehension of business models and an ability to quantify competitive advantages, financial key metrics and strategic options. As a junior applicant you may not have all that just yet, but you should have the determined ambition and mind-set to quickly acquire such skills, and with an astute business sense you would have no fear to take on key roles in our client projects. Our consultants want you to join them if you have a strong analytical mind, a great attitude towards people and a passion for selling and delivering professional services.
Aside of the above, the minimum requirements are:
- Masters degree in either Business, Economics or Science
- 2+ years post graduate business experience
- A positive, creative, solutions oriented overall pleasant and fun character
Typical projects could be to assess the value of a telecom operation, to develop a mobile web services offering, to map out how the industry will develop short- as well as long term, to assess alternative business models for long-tail services or to elaborate measure how to increase profitability and competitiveness.
In most cases these are multimillion euro questions, in all cases we are expected to deliver a strategy for the best way forward.
